A word from our students

I have been a First Responder for 24 years.  I have taken online CE classes throughout my career.  I have to say this course is one of the best formats I have used.  The information in the CE is concise, relative to the subject and most of all kept me engaged.  Novice to experienced professional I would recommend NEWSI to meet your educational needs.
Coleen Brainard - EMT - Special Event Manager and Educator
This course was extremely relevant, succinct, and salient to our responsibility as citizens and emergency situation bystanders. The course material was a delicate balance of brief and digestible yet comprehensive and professional. Course formatting was user-friendly and the total length of the course makes it convenient to complete in less than an hour. Nobody wants to consider their involvement in a crisis, but the harsh consequences of these catastrophic events is closer to our personal lives. Using legitimate emergencies, the course provides real-life examples of what to do and what not to do during these unfortunate events and describes how to best protect ourselves and others if we are able. I appreciate that the inherent stress and chaos of these events is highlighted throughout the training, as it becomes a main focal point of learning; how do we regulate our emotions and act effectively and productively in the face of immediate danger? The first step is having basic, practical knowledge of what to expect in the event and its aftermath. This training is an essential component of building confidence in ourselves and our ability to respond in dangerous situations.
